Open Practices and Tryouts

Tryouts – Tentatively June 7

We are currently a small club with only 1-2 teams per age group, the selection process is competitive. We are seeking dedicated individuals who possess a passion for the game and a strong desire to improve. Our aim is to assemble a group of players who not only excel on the field but also embody sportsmanship, teamwork, and a growth mindset.

Girls Teams:
We are recruiting for rising 4th grade and rising 5th grade/6th Grade girls. Please reach out if you have a potential player!

By joining our team, you become part of a growing soccer community that values inclusivity, development, and a shared love for the sport. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team. We are here to support you every step of the way.

Spring ID Sessions

ID Sessions are open to friends and players outside our club, and are not considered an official tryout, in line with SLYSA and MYSA guidelines.

Open Practices

An open practice is a great opportunity for new or prospective players to experience a training session with Tower Grove Soccer Club. These practices are designed to give players and families a feel for how we train, coach, and build team culture; all without the pressure of tryouts or games.

Players participate in regular team drills and scrimmages led by our coaching staff, while parents can observe how our teams operate. It’s also a chance for coaches to see how a player fits in with a potential age group or team level.

Open practices are free to attend, but spots are limited and we ask that families email us in advance so we can plan accordingly.

How to Sign Up

To sign up for an open practice, please email us with the following information:

  • Player’s name
  • Player’s birth year
  • Any previous soccer experience (optional)
  • Parent/guardian contact name and phone number
  • Preferred day of practice (Monday or Thursday)

Once we receive your email, we’ll respond with whether we can accommodate your preferred day of practice or propose other available dates and times for upcoming open practices.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming your player to the field!

Missed ID Sessions Open Practices or Tryouts?

If your player missed tryouts or wasn’t able to attend an open practice, you can still reach out to us about possible open roster spots. Although many of our teams fill quickly, we occasionally have openings due to scheduling conflicts, roster shifts, or last-minute changes.

To inquire about current availability, please email us with your player’s name, birth year, and any relevant experience. We’ll let you know if there’s space and whether we can arrange a time for your player to be evaluated.

At the very least, it’s an excellent way to be added to our distribution list for future opportunities!
