Volunteer and some part-time coaching staff include experienced and decorated college and high school players and coaches:
2014: Brian Ballok, Jen Paule, Kenyon Sutherland, Owen Phelps, Ken Price, John Fisher, Carver Shipman, Jess Davis & Chris Oliver
2015 & 2016: Pat Howe, Brian Howe, Joe Howe, Bob Johnson, Matt Coble, Zach Coble
2017: Mariah Rodriguez, Justen Meyer, Meg Hill, Danielle Brown
We are also working with coaches from TOCA and STL CITY FUTURES to work with us on a part time basis, supporting our skill development and field strategies.
If you’re interested in coaching on of our Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 teams, please reach out to us as we continue to grow the club with new players in various age groups!
About our Director of Coaching
In 2024, we formed an awesome partnership with some local soccer experts who have years of coaching experience in the SLYSA league and area competitive soccer teams, as well as high school and college soccer. Pat Howe, Brian Howe and Joe Howe joined us as volunteer coaches, bringing with them 3 teams of excited and energized players in the U10 and U9 age groups! They are known for their unique style of play, and as a club we have noticed an immediate and elevated skill development under their teaching. Pat then volunteered to lead as Director of Coaching, providing mentorship, coaching resources, and tools for our volunteer staff.
About Zach, President
With four seasons of experience coaching youth soccer, and a US Soccer Coaching License, Coach Hunsinger is dedicated to creating a positive and enriching experience for children. His focus is on fun, healthy competition, and good sportsmanship. Zach brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for the game.
Beyond soccer, he is also an Ironman triathlete who qualified for the World Championships and who prioritizes health and wellness. His commitment to personal fitness and well-being serves as an inspiration to our young athletes, emphasizing the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
Zach believes that children learn best when they are engaged and enjoying themselves. Through carefully designed drills and interactive activities, Coach Hunsinger creates an environment where kids thrive, build confidence, and develop a love for the game. Our program encourages healthy competition, teaching kids the value of hard work, determination, and teamwork. Good sportsmanship is a core value, promoting respect and fair play.

About Maribeth, Vice-President
Maribeth remembers playing soccer in Kindergarten and has fond memories picking dandelions… but traded in her goalie gloves for a lacrosse stick, softball glove and ballet slippers early on. She played Lacrosse competitively in High School and college and coached High School varsity in Chicago-and suburbs, and for St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Louis and Fonbonne University. Maribeth’s has a background in non-profit management, and currently serves on the South City YMCA Board.
Maribeth can be found at most pracices and games, and focuses on Club Operations, Board Development, Fundraising, and Parent & Player engagement. You may also find Maribeth on the practice field or subbing in many of the games as an assist bench coach – she holds her US Soccer Coaching licensee to support all teams as manager or assistant coach where needed.
As far as soccer goes, however – Maribet
